Rockapella ready
to rock IU Southeast

Rockapella is ready to rock the Indiana University Southeast campus and the local community with their often imitated, never duplicated twist on traditional a cappella music.

The a cappella group will bring their unique sound to campus for two shows on Saturday, January 12 at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast.

Rockapella is most recognized for their stint on the television series Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego? and they are credited with redefining the a cappella genre by blending soul, rock, R&B, jazz, and vocal percussion.

The five member group formed in early 1990's and has since released several albums, appeared in national commercials, and toured internationally.

Tickets for the Ogle Center performance are $22.50 and are available online at oglecenter.ius.edu or call 812-941-2526 for more information.

Learn how to
finance your
educational future

You know you want to go to college, but the question is: How are you going to pay for it?
The Office of Financial Aid at Indiana University Southeast is hosting the "Financing Your Future" workshop to answer that question.
The workshop, from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 5 in the Hoosier Room at IU Southeast, is offered to all college-bound students-and their parents-regardless where you plan to attend.
In addition to providing information about financial aid resources, the workshop will cover important deadlines, tips, and traps in the financial aid process that have often cost families thousands of dollars.
"Financing Your Future" is part of the Office of Financial Aid’s Community Financial Health initiative, a series of educational programs aimed at removing educational barriers and improving the financial health of the local community.

January is
National Blood Donor Month

Holidays, inclement weather, and illness are a few of the reasons the blood supply often drops to critical levels during the winter months. But a stable supply is necessary to ensure blood is available when patients need it most.
That’s when you come in. In honor of National Blood Donor Month, all are invited to donate blood. Schedule an appointment to donate every 56 days.
As a token of appreciation, all participants in January blood drives will be eligible to enter a region-wide drawing for a high-definition television worth $1,000!
Blood is perishable with a shelf life of only 42 days and platelets just five days, so it must be replenished constantly-there simply is no substitute.
You can help save a life this January by donating blood at the following blood drives:
-Thursday, January 3, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Southern Indiana YMCA, 4812 Hamburg Pike in Jeffersonville.
-Monday, January 7, from noon to 4 p.m. at Rentco, 2807 Sable Mill Lane in Jeffersonville.
-Tuesday, January 8, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veteran’s Parkway in Jeffersonville.
-Wednesday, January 9, from noon to 4 p.m. at City of Jeffersonville Building, 500 Quartermaster Court in Jeffersonville.
-Monday, January 14, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Calvary Christian Church, 605 Norman Drive in Sellersburg.
-Monday, January 14, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, 2710 Hamburg Pike in Sellersburg.
-Tuesday, January 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Metal Sales located at 7800 State Road 60 in Sellersburg.
If you are at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and are in good general health, you may be eligible to donate blood. All donors need to present positive identification. For more information or to schedule you blood donation appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.
