Sellersburg man dies in
accident on Perry Crossing Road
The Clark County Sheriff’s
Office dispatched units to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 2400
block of Perry Crossing Road. The initial report stated that the vehicles
involved were a pick up truck and motorcycle.
Upon arriving at the scene officers
observed a red Ford F-150 pick up truck in the front yard of a residence located
on the south side of the roadway, where it had come to rest. Present on the road
way was a 2005 silver/black Kawasaki motorcycle. Initial information on the
crash indicated that the red F-150 pick up truck was traveling west bound on
Perry Crossing Road, crossed the center lane and struck the motorcycle traveling
east bound on Perry Crossing Road.
The driver of the motorcycle, Kevin
Clary, 37, of Sellersburg, died at the scene from injuries sustained during the
crash. The 11-year old passenger on the motorcycle was transported by Stat Care
air ambulance to Kosair Children’s Hospital. At the time of transport the
juvenile was alert and conscious and appeared to suffer from internal injuries.
The driver of the pick up truck,
Patrick Dribble, 33, of New Albany, was transported to Clark Memorial Hospital
for a blood draw for toxicology. Dribble also complained of neck pain. The
toxicology reports are not expected to be returned for four to six weeks.
The crash is still under
investigation and all paperwork, will be forwarded to the Clark County
Prosecutor’s Office to determine if any criminal charges will be filed.
