Watch meeting to 
be held for District 3

    A Block Watch meeting for the 3rd District is scheduled for Thursday, April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Arts & Enrichment Center located at 999 Water Street in Charlestown.
   
Charlestown Mayor Bob Hall and 3rd District Councilman Scott McKechnie, along with Assistant Chief of Police Keith McDonald will be hosting the program for the district.
   
The citizens of the 3rd District are encouraged by Mayor Hall and Assistant Chief McDonald to attend and be involved in making your neighborhood a safer place to live.

Pirate Pride 
Booster Club to meet

    The Pirate Pride Booster Club will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, April 7.
     The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and be held at the Media Center at Charlestown High School.
    Please enter the school under the blue canopy.

Pirate Pride Booster 
Club to host All 
Sports Recognition Dinner

     The Pirate Pride Booster Club will host an All Sports Recognition Dinner for all student athletes at Charlestown High School.
    The recognition dinner will be held at Bill Dunn Sports Arena on Sunday, April 27. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m.
    The dinner will be catered by Schnitzelbach. Meal tickets will be $3 each.
    Students, athletes and community members may now purchase tickets at Charlestown High School’s Athletic Department, The New Washington State Bank- Charlestown Branch and Grayson Funeral Home.
    A silent and live auction will also be held. The Pirate Pride Booster Club will direct most of the proceeds towards weight lifting equipment for the new high school.
    Corporate tables will be available for any business or organization that wishes to purchase a corporate table.
    More information will be forthcoming in The Leader as plans are finalized.


Farm Bureau, Inc.
to host Meet the
Candidates session April 16

     The Clark County Farm Bureau, Inc. will conduct a "Meet the Candidates" session on Wednesday, April 16, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Community Building at the Clark County 4-H Center (Highway 62, Charlestown).
   The spring "Meet the Candidates" session will feature presentations by candidates for county offices/positions who have contested races within their parties at the primary levels, school board candidates who are also in contested races are also being invited to participate in this session.
   The session is free of charge and the public is urged to attend.
   Those in attendance will be able to ask candidates questions from the floor or privately. 
    A dessert will be served at the conclusion of the session. 
    Invitations have been sent to candidates in contested primary races and contested school board races all at the county level.
