Old Settlers' Day Festival Events Schedule

The 2012 Old Settlers' Days Festival will be held on September 15th and 16th in Salem Indiana on the grounds of the John Hay Center. The Old Settlers' Days Festival will once again be focused on wholesome family activities with a special emphasis on teaching, sharing and the pioneer heritage of Washington County.

Old Settlers' Days Saturday September 15th Events Listing: (Hours 9:00am - 7:00pm)

Saturday 10:00 Opening Ceremony with Boy Scouts, School Bands, Abe Lincoln, and prayer by Stephen Fisher as well as gun salute.

10:15 - 5:00  Dulcimer Society, Acoustic Music, Choirs, in the village

11:00 - John Hay recalling his work with Lincoln

12:00 - Cherokee Native American Wedding

1:00 - Morgans Raid on Pioneer Village

2:00 - Mary and Mr Lincoln address the crowd

3:00 - John Hay addresses his life on the porch of the Hay house

4:00 - Lincoln Assassination at the Depot.

We will also have a Hog Calling Contest, Corn Husking Bee, and Canvas Painting as well as all day childrens games.
