SCSD2 Student Achievement and School and District Letter Grades On The Rise Print

Scott County School District 2 is pleased to announce that the recently released student achievement data has resulted in improved letter grades from the Indiana State Board of Education.!

Scott County School District 2 received the letter grade ranking of a “B” with a 3.32overall score. This was an improvement from a 2.86 last school year.!

Leading the way for the individual school buildings was Lexington Elementary School.

LES received the highest ranking possible with a 4.0 “A” ranking. Scottsburg Elementary School received a 4.0 “A” ranking. Vienna-Finley Elementary School also received a 4.0 “A” ranking.!

Scottsburg Middle School and Scottsburg High School received school letter grade rankings of a “B”. Johnson Elementary School received a school letter grade ranking of a “C”.!

“We are extremely excited in Scott 2 about our state grades. We are moving in the right direction and there are many great things happening in Scott 2. As a result of all those efforts, we are seeing many positive results. This is a tribute to the tremendous amount of hard work put in by our classroom teachers, our building principals, and our administrative office leadership team” stated Dr. Marc Slaton, Scott County School District 2 Superintendent.
