A woman was listed as injured when her vehicle was struck at the intersection of State Roads 362 and 203 on Wednesday, October 23.

This mishap occurred at 12:38 p.m., according to the report written by Chief Deputy Don Campbell. He was assisted at the scene by Detective Rick Barrett, also of the Sheriff’s Department.

Brenda R. Partridge, 63, Madison, was driving south on S.R. 203 and said she stopped at the highway’s intersection with S.R. 362. She said she looked both ways and did not see the 2013 Dodge pickup truck being driven east on S.R. 362 by John Austin Miles, 20, New Washington.

When she proceeded through the intersection, her 2012 Toyota Avalon was struck by the pickup.

A witness corroborated the drivers’ statements.

Partridge’s airbag deployed, but the woman still experienced abdominal pain following the crash.

She was treated by Scott County EMS technicians. Miles was reported to be uninjured.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Property damage was estimated at up to $25,000.
