PEGGY RAGINA NORRIS, 76, Columbus, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Columbus Regional Hospital ER.
She was born on July 31, 1937 in Borden to the late Frank and Bertha Waggnor Durham. She was a former employee of Kimball Office Furniture in Borden.
Survivors include her daughters: Teresa (Paul) Milby of Pekin, Tami Graves of Henryville, and Kathryn (Jerry) Spears of Salem; her companion: Ernest Myers of Columbus; her brother: Vernice “Winker” Durham of Pekin; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph James Norris.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen.
Hathaway-Myers Chapel of Columbus is handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

KARLA FAYE OWENS, 35,  of Scottsburg, died Saturday,  October 26, 2013 in Austin.
She was born February 12, 1978 in Scottsburg, to the late Carl  Barger  and Brenda Wolfe, who survives. She attended First Southern Baptist Church  Scottsburg.
Survivors include: Sons: Peyton Owens, Scottsburg, Bryce Lawless, Scottsburg; Daughters: Briainna Owens, Scottsburg, Kaylee Owens, Scottsburg, Toni Owens, Scottsburg; Brothers: Charlie Barger, Austin, William Wolfe, Austin, Tommy Burns, Austin; Sisters: Amanda Hellar, Seymour, Jessica Dilger, Scottsburg. She is also survived by a grandchild.
Funeral Service will be at  1:00 pm Saturday, 11/2/2013 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana  with Chaplain Deanna Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Scottsburg.
Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

STACEY ELLEN MIDDLETON, 36, of New Salisbury, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home.
She was born on March 23, 1977 in Clark County to Sam M. Fuson, Jr. and Eileen Dean Troncin. She was a member of the Gilt Edge Baptist Church in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her husband Darnell Middleton; daughter, Kaycee Miller of New Salisbury; sons, Isaiah D. and Elias A. Middleton both of New Salisbury; mother and step-father, Eileen and Buddy Troncin of Corydon; father and step-mother Sam and Marcia Fuson of Newport News, Va.; brother, Sam Fuson III of Woodbridge, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN at 1:00 P.M. with burial in Hibernia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday until time of service.

WILLIAM “BILL” CULLINS, 79, of Salem, died October 28, 2013 at the Meadow View Health & Rehab Center in Salem.
He was born on November 6, 1933, to the late Homer Cullins and Mary Jane (Peyton) Cullins.
Survivors include: wife, Lucy (Hayes) Cullins; five sons, William A. Cullins Retired Gy. Sgt, Phillip A. (Lilian) Cullins, YNC Kevin D. USN Retired (Isabel) Cullins, Charles W. Retired SGT (April) Cullins, and M. David Cullins; 1 daughter, Mary F. (Mike) Eiler; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: two brothers and five sisters.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Salem. Burial will be at the St. Patrick's Cemetery. Father Louis Manna will officiate.
Viewing will be from 4-8 PM Friday at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem and Saturday from 9 AM until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.

PRUDIE HICKS, 67,  of Scottsburg, died Wednesday,  October 30, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
She was born December 17, 1945 in Chavies, Ky., to the late Charlie and Cloe Napier Vires.  She was retired from Como Plastic in Columbus.
Survivors include: Sons: Charles  Gregory (Tina) , Tony (Peggy) and Samuel "Tiger" (Lori Hubbard) Hicks, all of Scottsburg; Daughters: Cecilia (Karen Harris) Hicks, Scottsburg, Melissa Ann (Steve) Romero, Lexington, and  Linda Gail (Garry McAllister) Hicks of Scottsburg;   Brother: Charles Kelly Vires, Chavies; Sister: Elizabeth Hensley, Austin.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel C. Hicks, Sr.
Funeral Service will be held at  1:00 pm on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Buchanan Funeral Home, with Rev. Jac Sanders and Rev. Larry DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Spurgeon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm on Saturday, November 2, and after 9 am on Sunday at Buchanan Funeral Home.

ROBERT C. “BOB” WEBSTER, 82, Madison, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on December 20, 1930 in Hanover to Curtis and Mildred Nell Royce Webster. He was a retired bus driver for the Madison Consolidated School System, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a former elder of Kent Christian Church, and attended Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Velva Marie Bird Hatton Webster of Madison; his daughter, Debra Lynn Mayhew and her husband, Dirk of Southport, Ind.; his son, Tony Lee Webster and his wife, Amy of Madison; his step daughter, Patsy Elaine Howard and her husband, Gary of Deputy; his step son, Thomas E. Hatton of Kent; his brothers, Dennis Webster and his wife, Wanda of Clearwater, Fla., David Webster and his wife, Sally of Madison; his sisters, Lois Liter and her husband, Gobel of Chelsea, Ind., Patricia Copeland of Madison, Mary Blaney and her husband, Carl of Hanover; his sister in law, Sue Webster of Charlestown; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys I. Campton Webster; his son, Robert Donald Webster; his sisters, June Yvonne and Linda Carol Webster; and his brother, James Webster.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, November 1, and from 9 am until the time of services on Saturday.

FRANK JOHNSON, 81, Bedford, died in Johnson Christian Village after an extended illness.
He was born on May 22, 1932 in Buckhorn, Ky.  to Floyd and Mary White Johnson. He was a minister, having help start or serve several different churches, including the 39th Street Christian Church in Bedford. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia Beldean Johnson;  brothers Fred (Sue), Joe (Patty), Johnny (Karen) and Lonnie (Jackie);  sisters Nettie Scott (Clyde) and Alice Marie Neice (Jerry Joe)  Russell Johnson and Babs of Bedford and their son Justin (Alicia) and daughter Whitney.  Justin’s son Ezra and Whitney’s boy Ashton are great grandsons Kathy Smith &  husband Steve of Columbus, Ohio;  Kathy’s children Kristie, Kyle, Kaleb,  Kory Karen Stoner and husband Tim of Joplin, Mo;  Karen’s children Devon, David, Joshua, Jeff, Chris, and  Emily  Philip Johnson  and wife Lela of Lancaster, Oh;  Philip’s children Chanda and Matthew.  Chanda’s children are Eric, Justus, and Caleb are great grandchildren, Debbie Bennitt and husband Mike of Nixa, Mo;  their children Brianna (Peter), Ben, Justin, Ellie.  Briana’s son Zeke is a great grandson.
The viewing and visitation will be Thursday afternoon 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the 39th Street Christian Church just off highway 37 on the south side of Bedford.
The funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery.
The family requests that gifts be made to the 39th Street Christian Church in place of flowers.  
Services are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford.

NANCY SUE ANDREWS, 50, of New Washington, died Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 7, 1963 in Saginaw, Mich. to Larry and Stella Licastro Staples.
Survivors include her children, Lindsay and Zack Andrews both of Charlestown, brothers; Larry Staples of Nevada, Nelson Staples of Michigan, Buddy Staples of Texas and Lloyd Staples of Clarksville, sisters; Joyce Thompson of Clarksville, Sandra Miller of Jeffersonville, and Alice Nelson of Michigan.
Memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Fellowship Hall at Charlestown Independent Church.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. also at the church.  Grayson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

LUCILLE JUNE DART, 91, Austin, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Scott Villa Living Center.
She was born June 22, 1922 in Scott County to the late Tracy W. Brelsford and Zenra T. (Harrod) Brelsford. She was a member of Alpha Baptist Church in Deputy.
Survivors include: Sons: Lynn L. Dart, Scottsburg, and Dale Dart, Elizabethtown, Ind.; Sisters: Mary L. Riley, Summerset, Ky., Faye M. Fawbush, Columbus, and Ruth I. Burton, New Concord, Ky.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Nancy Peacock and Sherry Collins.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Alpha Baptist Church in Deputy, with Rev. Stan Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the Harrod Cemetery in Austin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at Buchanan Funeral Home and after 11 am on Monday at Alpha Baptist Church.

VIRGINIA L. STOUT SPURGEON, 74, Salem, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab.
She was born January 6, 1939 in Salem to Glenn and Florence McCoskey Garriott.  She was a retired employee of LeWeb, a member of Canton Methodist Church, and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She was preceded in death by her husband:  Jerry Spurgeon, her parents, two brothers:  Harry and Robert Garriott, and two sisters:  Rosemary Hollen and Bonnie Garriott.
She is survived by a son:  Randy Stout (Julia) of Salem, two daughters:  Sandy Fackler of Salem and Lori Barnett (Bryan) of Vallonia, two step-sons:  Scott Spurgeon of Hanover and Steve Spurgeon of Jeffersonville, a step-daughter:  Leiah Spurgeon of Salem, three sisters:  Lucile Tatlock of Floral City, Fla., Hazel Hollen of Birdseye, Ind. and Mildred Luse of Bloomfield, Ind., six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 – 8 pm and Monday from 9 am until the time of service.

JANICE CARROLL WHITE, 64, of Salem, died October 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was Born on December 24, 1948 in Salem to the late Edward Woodrow Hollen and Jewell Margie King, who survives. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Campbellsburg.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. White Sr.; her sons, Jerry Wayne White Jr. and Kerry Lee White; her daughters, Anne Marie White and Lisa Diane Kindrick; her brothers, Donnie, Dennis, Kermit, David and Stevie Hollen; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service were held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home in Salem. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery.

She was born on May 5, 1938 to the late Farmer Ledford and Sophia (Herd) Ledford. She was a Retired LPN and a member of the Old Blue River Christian Church.

JOHNNY LEE HOGAN, 25, of Marysville, died Thursday October 31, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 18, 1988 in Louisville to David Troy Hogan, Sr. and Yvonne King Hogan.  He was a former employee of Walmart and a member of the Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church in Lexington.
Other survivors include his brother; David Hogan, Jr., grandfather; Royce King, Sr., of Taylorsville, Ky., uncle and aunt; Jerry and Judy Hogan of Charlestown, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday November  6, 2013 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

WILLIAM LEE BAELZ, 65, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
He was born in Corydon on April 13, 1948 to Stanley Earl and Helen Baxley Baelz. He was the head meat manager for the Kroger Company for 30 years, a study hall teacher at Corydon Central High School, a Football Coach and assistant softball coach also for CCHS, a member of the Corydon Moose Lodge, and Old Capitol United Methodist Church. He had formerly been on the Volunteer Fire Dept in Corydon and a member of the Corydon Optimist Club.
He is survived by his wife- Kathleen Kline Baelz of Corydon; his sons- Stanley Michael Baelz (Rachel) of Leavenworth, Ind., William Howard Baelz (Brook) of Laconia, and Christopher Lee Baelz (Adrienne) of Corydon; his daughter- Elizabeth Ann Luther (Josh) of Corydon, his sister- Shirley Gibson of Corydon, Seven Grandchildren- Cody, Jenna, Lilly, Avery, Cayden and Katie Mae Baelz and Brinlee Luther. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law: Keith Gibson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

WINSTON “JUNIOR” BARGER, JR., 50, Scottsburg, died on Sunday, November 3, 2013.
He was born on October 11, 1963 in Scottsburg to Winston Barger, Sr. and Virginia Irene (Austin) Barger.  Junior was a employee of Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville and was also a former employee for the old Bowater Company in Scottsburg.
Survivors include his wife, Ermel A (Byerly) Barger; a daughter,  Anna Amelia Barger of Scottsburg, Indiana;  his parents, Winston, Sr. and  Irene Barger of Lexington, Indiana;  a brother, Steven W. Barger and his wife Suzanne of Carmel, Indiana;  two sisters, Debra Huckleberry and her husband Michael of Scottsburg, Indiana and Julie Barger of Lexington, Indiana;  a grandmother,Mae Austin of Madison, Indiana; two nieces, Courtney Huckleberry (Shannon) and Tiffany Weir (Dennis), two great nephews, two great nieces and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Thursday, October 7, 2013 at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Barnes Community Cemetery near Nabb.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 10 am Thursday.

WOODROE “WOODY” COLLINS, 70, Austin, Indiana, formerly of Williamstown, died Monday, November 4, 2013.
He was the son of the late Alex and Maggie Collins. He was a former Quality Control Inspector for Aristech Acrylics, LLC and attended the Mt. Perrin Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters; Sandra Neace of Williamstown and Melissa Brawnstein of Cincinnati, two sons; Kenneth Collins of Bethel, OH, and Paul Ray Collins of Georgetown, KY, a brother; Pearl Collins of Williamstown, a sister; Oma Harrell of Williamstown, two special friends; Kathleen Griffith and Imogene Colwell both of Austin, IN and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 12:30 pm at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown with burial at 2:00 pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
