Fourth-quarter run lifts FC boys over Scottsburg Print

Prior to the Christmas Break, Floyd Central’s boys’ basketball team picked up a big win over visiting Scottsburg.
The Highlanders used a 25-12 run in the final eight minutes to seal the 62-55 win.

FC took the lead in the opening quarter thanks to a seven-point spurt by (number 13).
The Warriors answered and even went up five at intermission, 28-23. During the run, Scottsburg hit one three and sank four freethrows.
The third quarter was back and forth. The Higlanders got some breathing room and sealed the win thanks in part to (number 11) scoring nine of his 14 points in the final eight minutes.
(Number 30 also contributed to the win, by sinking two threes and two freethrows in the final quarter, scoring 11 points.
(Number 13) lead the way for FC with 15 points.
The Highlanders were back in action over the New Year’s Holiday Weekend in the Bob Wettig Tournament.
