Shooting initially ruled self defense Print

A shooting in Borden turned out to be a case of self defense in a domestic dispute.
The shooting took place on West Main Street about noon, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say that Michael B. Zweydorff, 43, allegedly shot David A. Stout, 49, in the forehead with a 22-caliber gun after Stout confronted him about a relationship with Robin Stout.
Stout did not suffer serious injuries from the shooting and Zweydorff was released after he and Robin Stout were questioned by police.
Initial results from the investigators support self defense, but information about the case has been submitted to the Clark County Prosecutor’s office, awaiting a decision from them on whether or not to file criminal charges.
