Real Property parcels with delinquent taxes, penalties or other assessments due will be offered for a tax certificate sale at an auction to be held on October 3, 2011 at the Clark County Government Center in Jeffersonville.
Under Indiana Code, the County Treasurer is required to certify a listing of parcels with delinquent taxes originally due May 10, 2010 and not paid as of June 30, 2011.
The current preliminary listing has nearly 1,200 parcels with such past due taxes.
Clark County Treasurer David Reinhardt stated that he hopes to cut this list by more than half with payments received before the tax certificate sale date.
Last year, 408 parcels were offered at the October 4, 2010 sale.
Public notice of the sale will be published according to state statue.  After July 1, 2011 all delinquent taxes, penalties and special assessments plus any tax sale charges, which may be applicable, must be paid.  If further assistance is needed please feel free to contact the Treasurer (see below) or you may check out your tax records on-line at http://www.co.clark.in.us/treasurer.html
