Pirates advance in Sectional 31 with win over Corydon Central
You could tell it was Sectional time in Indiana last Friday night. All over the state, fans were dressed in their favorite team colors with gloves, hats and warm boots or huddled in blankets to keep warm. The Boneyard was no different as Pirate Nation filled the stands to cheer on their Pirates in the opening round of Sectional 31.
The room grew quiet as Washington County Chamber of Commerce Vice President Adam Kelly stepped up to the microphone to announce the 2013 Citizen of the Year. And seconds later the room erupted in applause as Terrilee Suvak’s name was announced.
Christmas Candlelight Tours at the Historic John Works House
Christmas Candlelight Tours will take place at the Historic John Work House at Historic Tunnel Mill in Charlestown on December 6 and 7 and December 13 and 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tours of the historic house will be conducted throughout the evening.
Local football teams preparing for IHSAA Football State Tournament

The Indiana High School Athletic Association held the draw for the 41st Annual IHSAA Football State Tournament on Sunday, October 13. The tournament is presented by the Indianapolis Colts. This year’s new format features 322 teams and 18,668 student athletes.
