The Eastern High School volleyball team avenged an early season loss to the Salem Lady Lions.
The Lady Musketeers won on Sept. 29 at SHS, 19-25, 25-18, 36-34, 27-25 eastern.

Clark County Health Department has been advised by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) that they have identified a sample of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile Virus (WNV) in Clark County. The positive mosquito sample was collected by a representative of the Clark County Health Department during routine seasonal mosquito sampling in Clarksville, Indiana.

Charlestown penalized for 125 yards

Charlestown has gotten the best of Corydon over their 11 football meetings, 9-2 counting Friday nights win; however sometimes the vacuum of outside forces ruins a good rivalry game, like Friday night at Corydon.
The Pirates were penalized 11 times, totaling 125 yards; while Corydon was penalized eight times for 62 yards, but no one had control of the game-especially the officials. Words wouldn’t justify the impact the officials had upon the “game” so enough about the ugly-here’s the good and the bad.

The jury trial for James L. Knight on felony charges in Scott Circuit Court has been rescheduled to March 9, 2015, court records indicated recently.Knight is facing a variety of charges, including Class A felony attempted rape, Class B felony burglary, robbery and criminal confinement, Class C felony intimidation, Class D felony theft and  pointing a firearm at a person and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. All of the charges stem from a March 9, 2012, incident in which the defendant allegedly attempted to rape his estranged wife and then purportedly threatened the woman’s life and the lives of the couple’s children. The two children were not present when the alleged incident occurred.
