The estate of Manuel Davis, the Austin resident who died when he was struck by a car while cycling on U.S. Highway 31 on December 18, 2013, has filed a lawsuit for damages against that driver.

The Floyd County Democratic Party has announced the results of the party’s Georgetown Town Convention, selecting nominees for the positions of Georgetown Clerk – Treasurer and two at-large Council positions. The nominees will appear on the general election ballot.

Nominated for the position of Clerk – Treasurer was Everett Pullen.
