A Deputy area resident who reportedly accepted a mailed package containing 85 grams of the illegal drug methamphetamine is now incarcerated at the Scott County Security Center awaiting her trial.
Bonnie Y. Wicker, 31, East Quick Creek Road, is charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony, and posession of methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony.

Plans have now been made to renovate the former Austin Senior Center at the corner of U.S. Highway 31 and Wilbur Avenue into a new headquarters for the Austin Police Department.
