A federal indictment against Billy Joe Dugard, 36, for robbing two banks in Scott and Washington counties in April was announced this past week by Joseph H. Hogsett, U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of Indiana.

Officers with the Charlestown Police Department arrested 39 year old Robert Young on Friday, August 31 on several drug related charges, including Dealing Methamphetamine, Class A Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, Class B Felony, Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Class C Felony, as well as several other various drug related charges.

For the first time since 2007, the Salem High School girls’ golf team claimed the Mid Southern Conference championship, which was held last Saturday at Corydon.
Brittney Walker and Emily Motsinger earned spots on the  All Conference team while Amber Kilburn earned Honorable Mention.

Members of the team who participated in Saturday’s conference meet are pictured at right. They are, Madison Aly, Brittney Walker, Emily Motsinger, Chelsea Lamb and Amber Kilburn.
