Not long after search and rescue missions ended, did volunteers start showing up in the affected communities. The amount of volunteers has delighted the officials who are over-seeing the clean-up process. They hope the outpouring continues.
Lions give Brownstown all they can handle, fall short
The Salem Lions had Brownstown on the ropes in the final minutes of the two teams March 5 showdown in the Class 3A Sectional 30 championship game, but was never able to deliver the knock-out punch. Brownstown outscored the Lions 8-0 over the final 2:29 and won the game 54-49.
