Rep. Todd Young (R-IN9) announced today that 9th District staff members are scheduling interviews for Hoosier Veteran Voices, a program in conjunction with the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project to record and preserve the personal narratives of wartime veterans.
A search Warrant was issued last week and officers from both the Indiana State Police and the Washington County Sheriff’s Department executed it, which led to the arrest of five people.
The Washington County Purdue Extension Office and the 4-H Junior Leaders are taking orders for holiday cheese balls. Call 883-4601 or contact a 4-H Junior Leader to order your cheese ball. Cheese balls will be made on the following dates:

Salem High School graduate Trent Pennington is the recipient of a $500 scholarship presented by the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) and sponsored by SRI, Inc. The AIC presented the scholarship to Pennington in Washington County on Oct. 15.
Pirates fall at Brownstown Central in Sectional Championship

The Pirates of Charlestown traveled to Brownstown Central last Friday night to defend their 2012 Sectional Championship. Charlestown was also out to avenge an earlier season loss to the Braves, 40-26, in week two of the regular season on August 30.
