Several thefts of scrap metal from a residence on Scottsburg’s north side that had occurred since December, 2012, are now considered solved with evidence gathered in a case filed in Scott Superior Court.

SOAR! “Put Your Nose In A Book” PDF Print E-mail

Every spring, SOAR! coordinates with the schools to carry out Put Your Nose In A Book (PYNIAB). This year the staff planned it around Children’s+ Book Week (May 13-19).  Volunteer readers from the community helped SOAR! in reading to every first grade classroom in the county.

After learning about western expansion the culminating event was a re-enactment of many activities that people of that era participated in such as  roping cattle, washing clothes in an old washboard,  square dancing, sketching wild life and writing with quill pens.
