The Town of Borden wishes to congratulate this year’s winners of the annual “Christmas Decorating Contest”.

The Salem High School girls’ basketball team started the year with just two wins in their first 10 games.
Down 10 points late in a first round game against Henryville in the First Harrison Bank Holiday Tournament, a three pointer from Laken White not only salvaged the game, but maybe the season.

Charlestown man arrested in murder for hire plot PDF Print E-mail
On January 2, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Charlestown Police Department’s Special Response and K-9 Teams were assisted by the A.T.F. in the arrest of 23 year old Kristopher Lee Washington of Charlestown in a case that began approximately two weeks ago as an undercover Charlestown Police narcotics sting inside a Charlestown apartment complex.

This week, Indiana SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) will travel to Charlestown High School with teen traffic safety activities focused on discouraging distracted and impaired driving, and encouraging responsible driving habits.
