A crowd of nearly 200 people gathered outside the Floyd County Courthouse on Thursday, May 3rd to participate in the nation’s 61st Annual Day of Prayer, appropriately themed “One Nation Under God” as taken from Psalm 33:12. 
The beautiful weather created an ideal backdrop for the event, as Mayor Jeff Gahan opened by welcoming the crowd and thanking all those who had organized the event.

WW wins PLAC title PDF Print E-mail

For just the second time in school history, the West Washington girls’ softball team claimed a Patoka Lake Athletic Conference Championship. The PLAC title was clinched last week when the Lady Senators beat Perry Central. WW will now turn their attention to sectional play where they will take on Crothersville in the first round next Monday at Springs Valley. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Springs Valley-Trinity Lutheran game.
