This past weekend Borden struggled losing to Orleans Friday night 32 – 50. They then traveled to Evansville Day to pick up a win 57 – 55. Though both games were not pretty they were tough fought.

The Borden Lady Braves (12-2) were able to hold off a late run by the West Washington Lady Senators (11-5) to come away with a 61-55 basketball victory Tuesday, January 28th in Borden.

The girls’ basketball tournament gets underway this weekend.
Eastern will host the girls’ 2A sectional in Pekin.
Salem will travel to Charlestown for the 3A sectional.
The Lady Senators of West Washington will compete at Orleans.
The following is a look at the sectional tournament draws.
Class A
Tuesday (Feb. 11) play gets underway in the Class A Sectional 61 at Orleans.
At 6 p.m. the host Lady Bulldogs battled Crothersville and the nightcap will be Springs Valley taking on West Washington.
The winner of the first game will play Trinity Lutheran in the 6 p.m. game Friday.
The winner of the WW-Valley  game will play Medora at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The winners of Friday’s games will play in the championship Saturday at 7:30.
Class 2A
In Pekin play also gets underway at Tuesday (Feb. 11).
The first game will feature Paoli playing Henryville at 6 p.m.
The night cap Feb. 11 is Crawford County taking on Clarksville at 7:30 p.m.
The winner of Tuesday’s first game will play Providence at 6 p.m.
The Crawford-Clarksville winner play the host Lady Musketeers Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Friday’s winners will play Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Class 3A
The  Class 3A Sectional 30  will be one of the more competive sectionals in the state.
Games will be Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday will feature Scottsburg taking on North Harrison at 6 p.m.
The second game that night will feature Charlestown taking on Brownstown Central.
Tuesday’s winners will play Friday at 6 p.m.
Wednesday Salem takes on Silver Creek at 6 p.m.
The second game Wednesday features Madison taking on Corydon Central.
The winners of Wednesday’s games will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Friday’s winners will play one another at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The cost to enter the sectional is $6 per session or tournament passes may be purchased for $10.

The IU Southeast men’s basketball team has moved to No. 2 in the country in the latest NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll, announced by the national office Tuesday.
