In Washington County, Houchin, a Republican got 5,069 votes compared to Young’s 2,186 votes.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Friday, October 17, concerning several burglaries in the north Clark County areas of Charlestown and Otisco.

The IHSAA hosted the sectional draw on Sunday, October 12. This Friday the 42nd Football Tournament, presented by the Indianapolis Colts, will kick off with the opening round of Sectional play. Sectional semi-finals will be held on Friday evening, October 31 while the Sectional Champion will be crowned on Friday, November 7. Regional games will be held on Friday, November 14 with Semi-State games held the following week, November 21. The Class 4A State Champion will be crowned on Friday, November 28 as the Class 3A State Championship game will be played on Saturday, November 29.

Alleged harassment and stalking of a former girlfriend has landed a Scottsburg man behind bars.
The woman told Chief Investigator Steve Wollmann of the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office that her ex-boyfriend, Damon Huff, 30, had been harassing and threatening her.
