Floyd County Democratic Party Chair Adam Dickey has announced the appointment of Robert O. Graddy to the position of Franklin Township board member. Graddy replaces township board member and former trustee Hazel Riley, who resigned on January 27th. Graddy will serve for the remainder of the four-year term through 2018.

Hoping to help senior citizens and those on disability to make minor improvements to their homes, the City of Salem is applying for housing grants from the state. The city is working with Administrative Resources association (ARa) out of Columbus.

Losing the last five games of your regular season doesn’t put a team in the right frame of mind as they head into a sectional, facing teams they already lost to once.
But the Salem High School Lady Lions were led by a coach who helped prepare them and encourage them to reach their goal and become sectional champs.
