Charges have been filed against Jonathan Lee “Chisel” Chilton, 29, for his alleged actions when the man, wanted on warrant for a shooting incident in Jackson County, was found and arrested in a Scottsburg restaurant parking lot.

Neighbors, homeowner help local deputies thwart recent residential burglaries PDF Print E-mail

Alert neighbors and a homeowner helped the Sheriff’s Department thwart two residential burglaries occurring on Sunday, July 20. A suspect was arrested in each case. Men being held on one count of Level 4 felony burglary are Christopher M. Hammill, 34, and Carl J. Brandenburg, 44. Both have Lexington area addresses.

Connor Aaron is a 10 year old boy fighting Cystic Fibrosis.  Connor was initially diagnosed when he was just 2 months old.  Since then, his family has continued to strive to bring joy, happiness and quality to Connor’s life because each and every day he is innocently fighting a battle he can never win.  This amazing fourth grader loves sports, especially basketball and football.  This past school year, Connor made the cross country, track and basketball teams at Jonathan Jennings Elementary School where he is a student.  He even played for a travel basketball team.  Connor is stringently monitored, and due to some limitations tends to miss practices and games at times.  However, because he absolutely loves athletics, his family supports his wishes 100 percent of the time and  will never discourage him from anything—despite the physical difficulties that he will certainly endure.

Committee is pleased to announce the featured guest speaker for the annual luncheon will be Silver Creek graduate Steve Green.  After graduating from Silver Creek in 1971, Green continued his education at Indiana University. He is a proud member of the Indiana University Class of 1975.
