God works through Christians in sometimes subtle and sometimes overt ways, according to the impact that 201 local Giants in the Faith--from age 4 to 92--have had on others since 2007.
Such people and the family atmosphere and spirit of celebrating God will once again define Hope Southern Indiana’s seventh annual “Giants in the Faith” luncheon. That’s when the community gathers to honor members of the public submitted for the varied ways they have influenced the Christian faith of family members, coworkers, neighbors, and friends.

Four people injured as SUV driver tries to avoid deer on Oard Spring Road PDF Print E-mail

A deer which ran out in front of a 2000 Chevy Tahoe late on Wednesday night, April 17, was the cause of a wreck that injured four people. Lois J. Riley, 43, Austin, was driving east on the county road northeast of Austin just after 11:30 p.m. when the animal leaped onto the road in front of her vehicle. She swerved to miss it and struck a tree. Damage to the SUV’s front end was extensive. Riley suffered chest pain following the mishap as did the passenger in the front seat, Michael Riley, 30. Carl W. Vancleave, 38, and Linda Riley, 28, were also listed as injured. Vancleave had back pain, while Linda Riley suffered abdominal/pelvic pain. They were seated in the vehicle’s middle seat.

Madison man suspected of auto thefts and burglaries faces 10 charges PDF Print E-mail

A Madison resident was taken into custody by officers with the Sheriff’s Department after he was allegedly found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle and items taken from vehicles in a Scottsburg subdivision.
