American Cancer Society’s signature event to unite the community in the fight against cancer is here!  The American Cancer Society and citizens in Washington County are rallying together to fight cancer by hosting Relay For Life. There is something for everyone at this year’s event which will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 11 and 12 at Salem Community School’s Paul A. Graves Athletic Field.

The criminal trial of State of Indiana vs. Michael J. Bush that was scheduled to start on Monday, May 24, in Scott Circuit Court was abruptly canceled after the defendant entered into a plea agreement.

Wow! Kids set for a splashin' good time with summer reading program PDF Print E-mail

An eight-week program, this year the summer reading schedule offers weekly water-related activities at the three libraries. Children who register will be required to read a minimum of ten books over the eight-week period to qualify for weekly prize drawings and program-ending parties planned in Scottsburg, Austin and Lexington.

“Water! Make a Splash: Read!” is the theme around which children ages three to eighth grade can enjoy the annual summer reading program at all three Scott County libraries.
