A Louisville man and a Jeffersonville man are facing drug charges after being arrested in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 14 by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
A Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy was on routine patrol in Cambridge Apartments in Clarksville around 5:10 a.m. on May 14. The officer noticed a vehicle backed into a parking space with the headlights still on and two men in the vehicle. While making contact and identifying the occupants of the vehicle the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for their Spring Festival: A Night on the Square event taking place in Salem on Friday.
The festival will serve as a platform for local businesses, organizations and vendors, giving them the chance to advertise their products to the thousands of people expected to be in attendance. Well known business leaders, including T&T Bank and Lincoln Insurance, are expected to be in attendance, as will local vendors and organizations such as the Girls Scouts- who will have cookies on hand.

Schedule for June 11 Borden Valley Day PDF Print E-mail

A full list of activities are planed for the annual Borden Valley Day festival.
The all-day event will be June 11 this year.
Activities get underway at 7 a.m. with a hot air balloon launch.
At 8 a.m. there will be a 5k walk/run and a kids run.

Last year, a group of people in Palmyra got together and decided the town needed a festival. Plans were made and the first-ever Pal-Wow, held at Buffalo Trace Park, was not only born, but turned out to be a huge success.
This year’s event, planned for Sept. 17, should be an even bigger success.
One of the organizers of the event, Doug Rothrock, sighted five reasons he things the 2011 Pal-Wow will be better than the 2010 event.
