The Eastern High School Starz Dance team competed at the State competition Saturday, March 19, 2011 at New Castle High School.
They competed with two different dances and placed in both. The Starz placed third in Jazz and fourth in Pom. This was the Starz first time competing in Pom at the State level.
Keenan Graves is the first male dancer to compete as an EHS Starz dance team member and he couldn’t be more proud of his team.
“I am so proud of the team. I feel like we tried our hardest and gave it our all,” said Graves.
Graves was also proud of the season the Starz had.
“I feel that our season was very progressive. We accomplished a lot with the time that we were given. I am proud of each and everyone of my team members! Everyone did so great and i am very proud of them,” said Graves.
