Joseph H. Hogsett, the United States Attorney, announced May 19,  the arrests of Washington County residents  Tyler Thevenot, Christian Hedegard, and Zachary Babcock, all 19. 
The three men were charged in a federal Indictment with the possession, transfer, and sale of stolen firearms stemming from the burglary of the Triple G Gun Gallery, a federally licensed firearms dealer in Greenville, on December 10, 2010.

According to Washington County Detective Brent Miller, a local resident saw the story about the arrest of Zachary Frey on one of the Louisville television channels.

CHS Alumni to play June 11 during RWB Festival PDF Print E-mail

Alumni of Crothersville High School will showcase their talents in the second annual Alumni Basketball game, hosted by CHS athletic Department, on June 11, during the towns Red, White, & Blue Festival.
The Game will begin at 6:30pm. Cost of admission is $2, and all proceeds will go towards the athletic department.  Anyone interested in participating may call Brady Riley @ 812-525-1399 or Chad Wilson @ 812-530-1181.

A total of four people have been processed through local courts as suspects in an alleged illegal drug business located at a home north of Scottsburg.
On May 13, officers with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department and the SRT Team of the Indiana State Police, Sellersburg post, served a search warrant at a residence on Green Acres Drive. Melissa K. Collins was purportedly living there.

Lady Pirate Softball wins host invitational on Senior Day; Brown County takes runner up PDF Print E-mail

Game one of the Charlestown Invitational Saturday morning (May 21) saw the Lady Pirate Softball team (15?6) come out full speed and never let off the gas. In the first inning sophomore Alyssa Price doubled with two outs and then senior Tyler Brafford delivered a blast to left field that cleared the wall for her first homerun of the season. The second inning saw the Lady Pirates add four more runs to their total. The big hit of the inning was senior Brittany Bennison’s double to left that scored three.
