Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita announced today the recent launch of a new, mobile application allowing users to look up a corporation’s address, registered agent, corporate officers and view an up-to-date list of documents filed by the company.
“We are continuing to take significant steps to harness the power of technology and use it to increase accessibility and continually improve the customer’s experience,” Rokita said. “This mobile application adds to the growing list of additional resources the Business Services Division has placed online to alleviate the antiquated process of filing and searching through mounds of paper work.”

The Indiana State Police is investigating a police action shooting that occurred Tuesday just before 8 p.m. on South Curry Pike at the Highland Lounge in Bloomington.

The United States Marshall’s Service Task Force, comprised of Federal Agents and Indiana State Troopers were seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Bryan Wright, age 29, originally of Paoli.

Wright was wanted on two warrants; one Federal Warrant for Probation Violations and another warrant from Orange County for Burglary and Resisting Law Enforcement. Officers on the task force had been given information that Wright was a danger not only to himself, but to law enforcement as well.

Information gleaned from the Task Force’s investigation lead Trooper’s and Marshall’s to Wright as he backed his pickup truck into a parking spot at the Highland Lounge. When approached by the officers, Wright brandished a firearm. Shots were fired and Wright was transported to the Bloomington Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Wright’s next of kin has been notified. Officers on the Task Force were not injured.

The Indiana State Police investigation is ongoing at this time.

No further will be released at this time pending the completion of the Indiana State Police investigation

The city council's move came off the heels of a similar decision made by the Washington County Council at its regular meeting on Dec. 6. At that meeting, the council decided to move money from the Growth Partnership's line item and put it into a fund that they council controls for economic development.
