Now in its eighth year, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of agencies and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS®), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,969 agencies considered, 2,496 are elite.

A Rented Christmas by J. Lillian Vandervere is scheduled to open November 29 at Hayswood Theatre on Capital Avenue in Corydon, Indiana.  John Dale, a middle-aged bachelor and prominent businessman, has a challenging job for Anne Weston, proprietor of the local rent shop. He wants to rent a Christmas - not just a Christmas with a tree and carols, but complete with a a wife, family and all of the happiness for which he has been secretly longing. Weston hires a group of actors to play John’s “family” but suddenly must  “borrow” children from an orphanage when the actors come down with the measles.
