The North Harrison Cougars won both the boys’ and girls’ individual titles in Saturday’s Crawford County Cross Country Regional, with Johnnie guy clocking in at 16:06.5 for the boys’ and freshman Ashton Bosler clearing the finish line at 19:00.5 for the girls. The Cougars also handily won the boys’ title with a score of 19, with Floyd Central coming in 4th with a score of 129. The top five teams advance to Saturday’s semi state at Brown County.

Borden outlasts Lanesville in three game volleyball match
Borden won a hard fought, emotional volleyball match from the visiting Lanesville Lady Eagles Thursday at Borden. The score ended up 29-27, 25-21, 26-24. The game could possibly be repeated between the two schools in the 1A volleyball sectional this week. Borden took a 20-17 lead in the opening game of the three, but still took a time out at this point.
Bennie Pratt of Austin Indiana was reported missing on Wednesday, October 12, at 10 p.m. According to family members Pratt had been dropped off at the Leota Trail head of the Knobstone Trail at approximately 9:30 a.m.. Family Members had intended to pick Pratt up at the Elk Creek trail head before dark on the evening of the 12th. At 10:00 P.M. Pratt had not arrived and the family members contacted the Washington County Sheriff’’s department.
