Class B felonies have been filed in Scott Circuit Court against a Scottsburg couple, who are accused of masterminding the burglary of a neighbor’s home on March 13.
Tiffany Stone, 29, and Daniel L. Stone, 31, are implicated in the illegal entry at a home on State Road 356 and the theft of several pieces of jewelry.

Weather was a definite factor in three vehicular crashes occurring in Scott County recently.
In the first mishap at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25, a woman driver lost control of the 2000 Ford she was driving because of slick conditions.

According to a 2011 report put out by the Census Bureau, roughly 42% of adult residents in Washington County have only attained the educational equivalency of a high school diploma. 34% of adults have gone on to accomplish some level of college work, including about 18% who received a degree, and another 23% had not been able to receive a complete high school education.
