EHS students meet Lt. Governor PDF Print E-mail

On Sat., Sept. 27, three Eastern High School students and two sponsors traveled to Indianapolis to accept the My Community, My Vision grant from Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann.  The grant combines the Lt. Governor’s office, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and Ball State University to support the students in creating positive change in their communities; Eastern was one of only five applicants chosen in the state.

After agreeing to plead guilty to reckless homicide, a Class C felony, Brooke Bunch was sentenced by Judge Frank Newkirk Wednesday, Oct. 1 in Washington Superior Court.

A Lexington area resident is now facing felony charges of dealing in methamphetamine in two counties.
Donald York Jr., 48, East Amos Lane,was arrested by officers with the Scott County Sheriff’s Department and New Albany and Jeffersonville police departments on Thursday, September 18, at his home. Out-of-county officers were a part of a group formed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) known as the Safe Streets Gang Task Force.
