With the beginning of the school year fast approaching, area parents are again facing the high cost of clothing their children for school. To help the residents of Clark, Floyd, Scott and Washington counties with part of the costs, The Salvation Army will be giving away clothing at their thrift store located at 528 Little League Blvd. in Clarksville.

Three criminal cases recently filed by the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office involve alleged child molesting or incest and sexual battery.

Diaundre Newby, 18, Lexington, faces charges of criminal deviate conduct, a Class B felony; incest, a Class C felony; and sexual battery, a Class D felony.
