Habitat for Humanity of Washington County recently purchased land at 4400 Eastern School Road in anticipation of building a home for Brian and Jennifer McKinley there. The foundation has been laid and the house was delivered Friday, August 26, 2011.

County rivals run deep and they start as kids play one another in the various youth sports leagues. Those rivals intensify as kids get older and move up to the organized school teams.
Two of those rivals, Salem and East Washington middle schools squared off last Thursday at the Paul A. Graves Athletic field.

Both Orman and Spangler are facing charges in the double murder of  Timothy M. Orman, Salem and Roy L. Orman, 48, Salem.
