A total of ten people were injured in five vehicular accidents spanning an 11-day period in Scottsburg and Scott County.
The first such accident occurred just after 1 p.m. March 10 on Whitsitt Road 1,500 feet north of Burn Road northeast of Austin. Melissa S. Cull, 36, Deputy, was driving a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am south on Whitsitt Rd. when the car veered off the left side of the road into a ditch line. There, it struck a concrete driveway culvert.

Thompson, however, reevaluated that dream when he caught wind that his beloved Lions could possibly land Mo Moriarity to that position.
“As soon as I heard that (Coach Mo) was remotely interested I begin telling people that we’ve got to make this happen,” Thompson said. “Opportunities like this don’t come around very often and I knew how great it would be for our school and community.”
