Recent vehicular accidents claim one life, injure several in Scott County PDF Print E-mail


Since October 31, a total of 13 people have been injured in vehicular accidents, and a young Lexington man died from his injuries.
Two personal injury mishaps occurred on Halloween, the first around 7:50 a.m. on State Road 56 West at Beechwood Avenue in Scottsburg.

NWHS cheerleaders capture State title

Greater Clark County Schools is pleased to announce that the New Washington High School cheerleading squad captured the 1A State Championship title on Saturday, November 5, their third title in four years. The squad was also the recipient of the Spirit/Sportsmanship Award, an award given to one team across all class levels (1A through 4A).

Lady Cats win season opener 70-29 over Lady Eagles PDF Print E-mail

The North Harrison Lady Cats won their season opener 70-29 over the visiting Lanesville Lady Eagles last Wednesday, but it didn’t necessarily seem to be a done deal that the hosts would win by such a large margin.
The margin was within 10 points or less throughout the first half.
