It all started with a summer camp.
Many local kids spend part of their summer at a camp that represents their passion, a basketball camp, softball camp, soccer camp, band camp, science camp or even a football camp. Each kid anxiously awaits the time for camp to start so they can work on whatever their passion may be. A few years ago, one local 12-year old was dropped off at a summer camp that has completely changed her life.

Charlestown Police Department assists in Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers Food Drive PDF Print E-mail

The Charlestown Police Department is participating in Indiana’s First Lady Cheri Daniels annual food drive to help local food pantries. 
The event will last the entire month of February and all can goods received will go towards Clark County Food Banks and local pantries. The Clark County Department of Child Services is hosting a basketball tournament for February 25 in which several local agencies are participating.

Jeffersonville High School to host the Ohio Valley Choral Festival PDF Print E-mail

Jeffersonville High School will host the 74th annual Ohio Valley Choral Festival on Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. The Ohio Valley Choral Festival, organized in 1938, is the oldest annually held high school choral festival in the state of Indiana. Participating schools include Jeffersonville High School, Charlestown High School, New Albany High School, Madison High School, Lawrenceburg High School, South Dearborn High School and Switzerland County High School.
