All Scott County students and teachers will probably have more extended days in classrooms because of the two recent days missed, March 3 and 4, because of yet another ice-and-snow storm.

For the first time since 2010, the Lanesville Eagles won the Class A Sectional.
The road was tough as they had to beat two of the top three teams in order to advance.

East Washington Elementary will have kindergarten registration on Thursday, March 20th.  A child must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2014 to enroll in kindergarten.  It is required that parents bring a birth certificate for each child enrolling.  Proof of residency should also be brought to registration. Acceptable proof of residency consists of a deed, rental agreement, property tax statement or voter registration card.  (Drivers License is not acceptable proof.)  A water or electric bill is also required.  Immunizations records are required in the fall.

Senators Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and Dan Coats (R-Ind.) today sent a letter to Joseph Blatter, the President of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), urging him to suspend Russia’s FIFA membership.
