It took the better part of two full-day meetings, but the Washington County Council came up with a plan to cut $329,000 out of the 2013 budget.
In the end, the council went through the budget line item, by line item and took money from a number of departments.

Indiana Adult Education is currently offering free classes across southern Indiana for anyone interested in earning their GED. Students will learn all of the math, reading and writing skills necessary to prepare them for taking their GED certification exam. IAE can also assist those wishing to take Accuplacer test remediation for entrance into Ivy Tech Community College, and they offer ESL classes as well.

Rock Creek Community Academy will host an adult/ teen spelling bee on Thursday, March 14. Adults and teens, in teams of three to five people, are encouraged to participate in this relaxed and fun atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.

Borden splits a pair of games PDF Print E-mail

Due to the Ladies sections Borden played an odd schedule this past week. They opened with Medora Thursday night winning 69 to 31. Then they played Springs Valley Saturday at noon and didn’t fare well losing 34 to 31.
