Tuesday night approximately 150 people attended a rally for Borden High School Principal Lisa Nale, who is currently serving a 90-day suspension that was part of an addendum to her contract.

The addendum is the result of an incident that happened in mid-June when Nale was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and eventually arrested.

Death of Salem teen being investigated PDF Print E-mail

Washington County Coroner Rondale Brishaber and the Salem Police Department are investigating the death of a 16-year-old Salem High School student.

Brishaber said the death of Nathan Stidham, 16, is still under investigation and details of how the young man died won't be officially released until later this week.

"I had heard several different names and we wanted to end public speculation on who it was," Brishaber said.

Stidham's body was found at 505 North High Street in Salem.

Nina Rae Keown still missing from Lexington area despite efforts to locate her PDF Print E-mail

Though several residents and volunteers joined the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and other agencies’ efforts to locate Nina (pronounced Nee-na) Rae Keown, 26, their efforts last week were in vain.
Keown has been missing since Saturday, August 7. She was last seen walking on that date near Plymouth Road and State Road 3 in the Lexington area, cutting through a cornfield to reach a local music festival.

Hensley agrees to plead guilty to Class A felony in 2009 child’s death PDF Print E-mail

Jason Carl Hensley, 27, the man being held in the October, 2009, death of two-year-old Jacob Matthew Lord, will apparently plead guilty to a Class A felony charge of battery causing death.
The charge carries a 30-year sentence with the possibility of five years of the 30 to be served on probation.

Borden Youth Soccer League President Nick Ray is anticipating the upcoming soccer season.
“I am excited to be getting ready for our upcoming seventh season and hope that the 100 plus kids that enjoy your league each year are too,” Ray said.
