In May, Perry and Dawn Tyler opened Koozan’s, a restaurant serving authentic Cajun cooking. And before you say, “I don’t like hot food!” Perry wants you to know, “It’s not about the heat; it’s about the flavor.”
He said Cajun food cooked right isn’t necessarily spicy hot, it’s very flavorful.

Home Search Lands Two in Jail in Clarksville PDF Print E-mail

On Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at approximately 9 a.m., troopers from the Indiana State Police, officers from the Jeffersonville City Police and officers from the Clarksville Town Police assisted United States Federal Probation Officers in searching a residence located at 757 North McKinley in Clarksville. The residence was the home of William R. “Mozee” Bland Jr and his mother, Donna L. Mozee.

While conducting the search officers located legend drugs, paraphernalia and K-2 or Spice. Beginning July 1 of this year new Indiana State Law makes K-2 or Spice illegal to possess in the state of Indiana.

Arrested and Charges:

*William R. “Mozee” Bland Jr, 31, 757 North McKinley, Clarksville, IN.

1) Possession of K-2 or Spice with a Prior Conviction, D Felony.

2) Possession of a Legend Drug, (Two Counts), D Felony.

3) Possession of Paraphernalia, A Misdemeanor.

4) Resisting Law Enforcement, A Misdemeanor.

5) Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony.

 

*Donna L. Mozee, 50, 757 North McKinley, Clarksville, IN.

1) Possession of Paraphernalia, A Misdemeanor.

 

Both subjects were taken into custody at the scene and incarcerated in the Clark County Jail.

For nearly 40 years now, volunteers from the local churches have been going into Washington County Prison to teach, befriend and minister to the inmates locked away in solitude there. Different volunteer groups enter the jail at various times: some minister once a month, others go in on a weekly basis. Typically, mens groups go in during every 2nd and 4th week of the month and ladies enter the prisons every 1st and 3rd week.

So said Terry Eaglin of TE Productions, who put on the Stock Car racing on July 11, 2011, at the grandstand at the Scott County 4-H Fair. The track was fast which meant that the racing was fast and fun for the viewers. The mastermind behind the fast track was Steve Trabue who turned a grass covered oval into a race track.  At first the track was a bit too dry but a water truck soon remedied that. Racers came from California, Tennessee, and Kentucky to participate. As usual, Julian’s Wrecker Service was on hand, as well as firemen.
