Grandstand events at 2012 Scott County Fair aim at delivering thrills for crowds PDF Print E-mail

The 2012 Little Miss and Little Master of Scott County contest and the Miss Scott County Fair Queen Pageant will be taking place on the first night of the Fair, as is the custom, but the audience will enjoy both of these events on Sunday, July 15, in air-conditioned comfort at McClain Hall behind Scottsburg High School. At the fairgrounds, another type of crowd, the stock car racing fans, will gather that evening at the grandstand to watch as their favorites compete in one of the wildest events. Races begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. On Monday, July 16, the second annual Charity Challenge will take place. This event pits teams of local people against each other, all to win money for charity. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. and admission for this evening of entertainment will be a reduced price. Tuesday, July 17, will feature the popular Mini-Enduro Race, where racers leave the event only if their vehicles no longer work. Again, start time is 7:30 p.m. and admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
