One man is dead, another injured after an early Friday (August 15, 2014) crash on State Road 60.
According to a press release issued by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 1:36 a.m. on the morning of Aug. 15, the Sheriff’s Department received a call regarding a single motor vehicle crash on State Road 60 west of Powers Road.

Scottsburg Warrior football came off of a 31 year hiatus Friday night, August 22, with a 12-0 win against Switzerland County. Hundreds of students and community members gathered to see the team “Plant the Spear.” A cannon ?red as the players took the ?eld. There was wild applause and then students and parents alike turned their arms into tomahawks, chopping in a rhythm with the Band of Warriors. Rain and bad weather couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm.
