The Nutcracker dances to Silver Creek with Motus Dance Company of Indianapolis and Kansas Regional Ballet PDF Print E-mail

The Nutcracker is a classic tale of Christmas magic. When Marie’s enchanting Uncle Drosselmeier comes to visit, he brings his niece a small nutcracker. Throughout the night, this nutcracker transports Marie through a land of adventure, including a battle with the evil Mouse King, and filled with candy delights hosted by the Sugarplum Fairy and her Cavalier. Is Marie’s adventure entirely fantasy, or is it truly a night of Christmas magic?

Joining the cast are members from Motus Dance Company of Indianapolis who will be performing their original choreography of “The Waltz of the Flowers.” They are joined by members of the Kansas Regional Ballet, Melissa Dockum and Joe Pilgram.

Dockum graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BPA in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University and was a 2003 Julliard finalist. Pilgram attained his BFA in Dance from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, and has danced professionally around the United States. The last several years he worked in Branson with Andy Williams, Dino Kartsonakis and the wonderful Clay Cooper.
