Three recent vehicular accidents in Scott County and Scottsburg left six people injured, according to reports released by the Sheriff’s Department and Scottsburg City Police Department.

The Charlestown High Pirate Football team got their winning ways in full gear Friday night, September 6 during the 46th meeting between Charlestown and Clarksville (0-3). The Pirates (1-2 and 1-1 Mid Southern Conference), who now have won seven straight against Coach Hawkins’ alma mater, had no problem running the ball against the undermanned Generals; while holding the visitors to a total of 59 yards of offense the entire game. 
Jamie James Lykins charged in infant’s death PDF Print E-mail
Jamie James Lykins, 24, has been arrested and charged with battery resulting in death and neglect of a dependent, both Class A Felonies. The charges stem from Lykins’ alleged involvement in the death of eight-month old Leelan Crain.
