The Floyd Central Alumni Association is gearing up for its second annual banquet to honor alumni, former faculty and coaches. Again the selection process was a difficult one as the association received many outstanding nominations. “I wish we could induct all of the submissions as they each are very deserving. However, we set a target of three to six inductees,” said Donna Riley, FCHS 1971, who served as the chair of the Hall of Fame Committee.  “After a very thorough review and with numerous discussions we feel we have an excellent representation of what Floyd Central High School is about.”   The selection committee was comprised of four alumni and three members of faculty and staff.

Golf scramble will benefit LYL PDF Print E-mail

The Lanesville Youth League will host a golf scramble on Saturday, May 14 at the New Albany Springs Golf Course.
The scramble benefits the youth league.
There will be food, a 50.50 raffle, prize drawings, plus golf contest will include a putt-off, longest drive and closest to the hole.

Greater Clark County Schools and the City of Charlestown held a press conference on Tuesday, April 26 to discuss the measurable benefits of the partnership between Greater Clark County Schools and the City of Charlestown, its effect on Charlestown High School students, and to announce Adult Education technology classes that will be offered to community.
