After nearly two years of planning, the PGA of America, in conjunction with the PGA Traffic Committee made up of 20 federal, state, county and city officials, unveiled their Traffic and Parking Plan for the 2014 PGA Championship. The main goal is to ensure all 250,000 anticipated spectators travel safely to and from the Championship throughout the seven-day period beginning Monday, August 4. Included in this plan are routes to public parking, shuttle details and other pertinent transportation information.

MacKenzie Stephens put an exclamation point on his high school days at Prosser in 2013 by finishing fourth in the SkillsUSA Nationals Internetworking competition. While he was excited by that finish, it was trumped by his first time competing as a college student this summer when he won the gold medal and gave Prosser it’s first-ever national champion.

The Greater Clark County School Board voted Wednesday evening, July 9, to approve Jason Connell to return to the Charlestown Pirate Basketball sideline effective immediately. Connell replaces Sean Smith, who led the Pirates for eight seasons before taking the head coaching job at West Washington in May.
