Lowell Depoy added his name to a long list of folks who have been recognized for their work in the community when he was named the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s 2011 Citizen of the Year at the chamber’s annual dinner at Southern Hills Church last Saturday.

Eastern senior Jocelyn Mousty had a busy week last week. She totaled a triple-double in the Lady Musketeers’ opened last Tuesday and then signed her National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at Ball State University the following day.
Then on Saturday she scored 11 points in Eastern’s win over visiting Castle.

Six people were arrested last week after their alleged involvement in breaking into and stealing merchandise from the Growby’s RTO, which is located next to Family Video in Washington Square shopping center.

A press conference was held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Harrison County Sheriff’s department announcing the end of a burglary investigation that has led to the arrest of three individuals and the search for another.

One person was killed and two others were injured in an accident that occurred at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday morning on Mt. Tabor Road.

According to a police report issued by the Washington County Sheriff's Department, Amanda Burns, 22, was killed and 4-year-old Zachary Tussey was injured.
