Yoder beats Winningham, others to claim 9th district primary PDF Print E-mail

In the 9th Congressional District Democratic primary race to unseat incumbent Todd Young, Shelli Yoder has claimed a decisive victory in a field of five candidates.
Yoder garnered 47% of the vote with 100% reporting.
Robert Winningham, an Economic Development Director and former aide to longtime U.S. Representative Lee Hamilton of Indiana, was second.

Murder trial resumes this week PDF Print E-mail

The trial of Tammy Spengler began last week in Washington Circuit Court.
Spengler is facing two counts of murder, two counts of aiding murder and one county of invasion of privacy.
Jury selection started May 9 and wrapped up that day.

Sellersburg Post holds Memorial Service to honor fallen Troopers PDF Print E-mail

The Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg held their annual Memorial Service on Wednesday morning, May 9, for those members of the department that gave their lives in the line of duty. Troopers present were brought to attention and prepared for roll call. The name of each of the deceased was then read along with a brief description of the circumstances surrounding their death. Family members of fallen troopers were in the audience during the recent ceremony.
