Eastern sweeps county track meet in Pekin PDF Print E-mail

The Eastern Musketeers swept to the title of both the boys’ and the girls’ divisions of the Washington County Track Meet Thursday at Pekin.
The boys from Eastern won in a close finish for team honors over Salem, 83-81. West Washington had three points in the meet.

Forecast released from Washington County Emergency Management Director PDF Print E-mail

Information in this release was received from Washington County Emergency Management.

Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, 1-1.5” rainfall expected. This storm will start tonight after midnight ending around Wednesday at 9 a.m.

This storm is a rainfall event, although chances for marginal hail and high winds are possible.

Wednesday-

Widespread rainfall, showers and thunderstorms redeveloping across the area 100% occurring after noon and continuing through 8 p.m.; depending on stability of air could lessen or worsen the system.

This system could potentially bring damaging winds ranging between 50-70 mph as well as chance for isolated tornadoes. Wednesday rainfall totals near 1-2”.

Heavy rainfall is expected to depart the county after 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Emergency Management will continue to monitor this situation.

St.Vincent Hospital Extends Emergency Care Services PDF Print E-mail

Today, St.Vincent Salem Hospital officials publicly announced a new partnership with St.Vincent Emergency Physicians, Inc., a multi-physician emergency medicine group headquartered in Indianapolis.
The affiliation which begins June 1, 2011, continues to grow the level of emergency care for residents of Salem, Washington and surrounding counties. In addition, the partnership with this large, experienced and board-certified physician group will increase the support of emergency services at St.Vincent Salem Hospital.
