Senators end 20-year sectional drought PDF Print E-mail

West Washington basketball has been stuck in a rut when it comes to sectional titles as they have not won one since 1996. However, all of the changed on Saturday night, March 5 when they defeated Borden 55-48 in the title game of the Class A Sectional 61 on their home floor.
This was head coach Sean Smith’s first title with the Senators.

Over the final four weeks of the regular season, the West Washington boys basketball team got on a roll, a roll that couldn’t have envisioned when the season began. However, they were winning the games when it mattered most as they went through sectionals and regionals and made their way to the Class A Seymour Semistate.
