Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz announced Indiana’s 4 Star schools for 2012-2013 and East Washington Elementary School earned the distinction.

In order to achieve this designation, a school must be in the top 25th percentile of schools in three ISTEP-based categories.

A total of 311 schools received the award throughout the state.

The BULL!, a mechanical bull will be available for riding from 6-10 pm.  The cost is only $10.00 per person to ride.

At 8:30 pm, the ‘winner’ of the St Vincent Salem Hospital Challenge will ride The Bull.

EHS baseball beats Corydon, Crawford County PDF Print E-mail

In a baseball game played May 5, Eastern picked up an 8-7 win over visiting Corydon Central.

The Musketeers were aided in the win by both the pitching and hitting of Dustyn Miller, who reached base three times in the game. He scored one run and had two runs batted in. He doubled in the fourth inning.

Corydon couldn’t get anything going as long as Miller was on the bump.

The Panthers managed just one hit off of the Musketeers’ pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
